About

Three actors are set to perform a documentary play about the great strikes of May 1968. Disappointed by the movement's defeat, they ultimately decide to rewrite history live. Forgotten figures then invade the stage: Françoise d’Eaubonne and Delphine Seyrig put Pompidou and Giscard in the closet and reclaim the confiscated voice. It is the birth of an "uchronia," a punk and zany alternative history where the 60s/70s become a true social, ecological, and feminist turning point in the history of France. France-Fiction is a hilarious fable, a political tale to laugh and dream together of a brighter future.

Press:

“[…] The three actors, full of energy and inventiveness, remake the world, attempt to rewrite History so that it is less lopsided, and in doing so, also show us the path already traveled. “ Théâtral magazine

“They are very young and do not lack ideas to imagine, through the lens of television, what our society would have been like if May 68 had been a true revolution! “ L’oeil d’Olivier

“[…] three young actors draw us into a joyful uchronia. They offer us a show without didactic pretension, surfing with humor and self-deprecation on the news of the 70s […] A good moment of cheerfulness from which we emerge with a smile on our lips, but also recharged to grasp reality and perhaps continue to dream of possibilities. “ Tsilibim

“What a joy to come across a theatrical UFO like France-Fiction […] that dares to dream aloud what our world could have been and makes us want to continue changing it […]. Carried by a detonating trio – two boys and a girl – as convinced as they are convincing, […] France-Fiction offers a jubilant rewriting of our History. “ Club de la presse Grand Avignon Vaucluse
