Show - I Don't Want to Fight - Vian, Prévert, Perec

Poetic rebelliousness takes center stage in this vibrant performance that weaves together classic literary provocateurs. It is a sharp, witty, and deeply human reminder that laughter remains the most powerful weapon against life's darker absurdities.

About

A salutary and essential one-man show

Froggy's delight,

With a biting irony that has not aged a bit

Le bruit du off tribune,

Unlike bees and birdsong, war is not an endangered species.
Since it has never seemed more necessary to restate it, then let's say it again: war, no thank you.
Through texts by Boris Vian, Georges Perec, Jacques Prévert, and other wags of the same ilk, Florent Aumaître embodies in turn a disillusioned soldier, a grunt without a flower in his rifle, and the man who laughs at the pathetic spectacle of those who decide to make cannon fodder.
This one-man show, which also mocks atomic bombs and deserters, takes the gamble of saying with tenderness, humor, and a beating heart what all ears should hear: war is disgusting.

Did you know?
Florent Aumaître was the performer of Maupassant's The Horla more than 500 times from 2011 to 2019, notably at the Théâtre Michel and the Lucernaire.
