About

From November 10 to 20, 2026, the Théâtre de la Ville – Sarah Bernhardt presents J'ai une théorie, a new solo performance by Scali Delpeyrat. Building on his 2021 work, the play follows a solitary and quirky character struggling with the complexities of heartbreak and repetitive romantic failures. Through a mix of humor and vulnerability, the performance offers an insightful look at the rituals of daily life and the search for closure. The venue is fully accessible to wheelchair users and provides specific accommodations for deaf, hard-of-hearing, blind, and visually impaired audience members, ensuring an inclusive experience for everyone attending this production.

I Have a Theory is the sequel to I Am No Longer Worried, created at the Théâtre de la Ville in 2021. We find the same lunar and solitary character, eager to describe the smallest details of his funny life, made of daily rituals and micro-catastrophes. This time, Scali Delpeyrat appears in the laughable but touching guise of the unhappy lover. A maniacal and partial description of a romantic breakup, I Have a Theory paints a delightful portrait of a man bogged down in a repetitive scenario: love stories doomed in advance. To get out of it, between the mischief of analysis and the delights of complaining, the character must first strip himself bare, but above all, he must develop his mysterious theory.

Our take on this event

The protagonist finds himself stuck in a recurring cycle of doomed romances, attempting to analyze his situation with a blend of charm and melancholy. To escape this trap, he must strip away his defenses and reveal a mysterious theory. Tickets go on sale on 01/09/2026 at 12:00. Special rates are available for students and cardholders.
