Part of the Paris Anti-Discrimination Week 2026 programme

About

The Kiosque citoyen in the 12th arrondissement hosts the event Faire reculer les discriminations on October 14 and 15, 2026. This free initiative offers a space for dialogue and awareness regarding the roots of prejudice, stereotypes, and racist behaviors in today's society. By using interactive activities and legal texts, these two afternoons aim to dismantle exclusionary mechanisms to promote social cohesion. Whether you are young or old, join these constructive exchanges to help build a fairer community, located directly at Place Félix Eboué.

Despite a clear evolution in favor of equality between all individuals, many dynamics of hatred, discrimination, and racist violent acts persist today. The fight for equality, justice, and dignity therefore remains fully relevant, and promoting living together remains more necessary than ever.

Our activities for "Pushing Back Against Discrimination" address these challenges of raising awareness about the fight against discrimination by creating a space for discussion with young and old alike. They allow for addressing the link between racist ideology and the acts or remarks it generates, particularly discrimination.

Because discrimination does not only result from a hateful ideology, these activity sessions also invite everyone to reflect on how prejudices, stereotypes, and discrimination are linked. Through legal texts, provided materials, and fun activities, the goal is to deconstruct these representations and propose concrete solutions to build a fairer society.

Our take on this event

On October 14 and 15, 2026, the Kiosque citoyen in the 12th arrondissement will host a series of sessions dedicated to fighting discrimination. From 16:00 to 20:00, this free event invites everyone to reflect on the patterns of hate and violent acts that persist despite progress in equality.

The program focuses on an educational and participative approach. Through various information resources, games, and legal texts, participants are encouraged to analyze the link between racist ideologies and their real-world consequences. The primary goal is to help individuals identify and dismantle the stereotypes that fuel discrimination in everyday life.

Open to all ages, the event prioritizes intergenerational dialogue. By fostering conversation, these sessions aim to explore concrete solutions to strengthen justice and human dignity within society. Join these discussions at 8, Place Félix Eboué in Paris.
