About
From October 23 to November 7, the Christian Collin gallery will dedicate a retrospective to the etcher PABLO FLAISZMAN as part of the Parisian Print and Drawing Galleries Week.
Born in 1970 in Buenos Aires, Pablo Flaiszman trained in painting and then printmaking, specializing in etching and aquatint. Based in Paris since 2000, he abandoned color there to master black and its nuances. His singular creative process relies on the collage of old or family photographs, which he transforms into prints. His works, both everyday and ghostly, thus tip into an unsettling strangeness.

Born in 1970, Pablo Flaiszman initially trained in painting before focusing his practice on etching and aquatint. Since moving to Paris in 2000, he has refined a distinctive technique, abandoning color to focus entirely on the nuances of black. His creative process involves collage work using old or family photographs, which are then meticulously converted into prints. His finished works capture an eerie blend of the mundane and the ghostly, creating a bridge between reality and abstraction.
The exhibition is free to attend. To ensure an inclusive experience, the gallery provides an accessible environment, specifically tailored for visitors who are deaf or hard of hearing, as well as those with cognitive disabilities.
