Irreproachable, the cabaret that thinks right
To carry out this new political-playful cabaret, each artist is entrusted here with a phoneme that has entered for a good cause into the box of everyday language, but which perhaps now feels cramped there, in the gray zone of the unthought. It is up to them to restore its lost luster.

About
Because we live in the present, because we know as much as everyone the evolved world and its traps, we use precautions cheaply, we try to mark everything well, to zoom where it is needed, to define, to mitigate, to echo, to defend everywhere the idea of the just and the sensitive.
For this, we have brought forth in public debate new, meaningful words, which we always try to use knowingly, openly and consciously including everyone.
But it sometimes happens – darn – that our politically correct words trip off our tongues and become shortcuts, gimmicks despite us, even though they cover important issues and stances. Or that they are hijacked by other mouths that make them sound out of place.
How is it – double darn – that our own words escape us? How can we keep them awake? Is it not our role as theatre authors, precisely, to (re)give meaning to what is said?
Our take on this event
Language can be slippery, especially when we try to use the right words for a complex world. This sharp-witted cabaret dissects our modern lexicon to explore how we can keep our discourse meaningful without falling into empty slogans.
On Sunday, November 1, 2026, Théâtre Ouvert presents Irréprochable, le cabaret qui pense bien. This performance explores how the language we use to navigate societal issues can sometimes lose its impact or become mere clichés. The artists aim to reclaim the meaning of words in our evolving world through this unique cabaret experience. The event takes place from 18:30 to 20:30. Attendance is free, but booking in advance is mandatory. The venue is fully accessible to wheelchair users and provides specific accommodations for deaf, hard-of-hearing, blind, and visually impaired audiences, as well as those with cognitive disabilities.
Irréprochable, le cabaret qui pense bien examines the way we use language in our modern lives. The performance questions why words that are meant to define important social positions sometimes turn into empty slogans or catchphrases. Through the lens of theatre, the creators seek to breathe new meaning back into our discourse and explore the responsibility of authors in shaping how we speak about the world.
The event is scheduled for a single date, Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Théâtre Ouvert in the 20th arrondissement of Paris. The performance runs from 18:30 to 20:30. All are welcome to attend this thoughtful exploration of communication and intent.
Accessibility is a central focus for this performance. The venue is equipped to welcome wheelchair users and offers comprehensive support for individuals with disabilities. This includes facilities for the deaf and hard-of-hearing, including sign language, as well as assistance for blind and visually impaired patrons and those with cognitive disabilities. While the performance is free of charge, you must book your entry in advance to attend.
