About

The Mémorial de la Shoah in Drancy hosts the literary meeting Écrire la Résistance on Sunday, October 18, 2026. From 14:00 to 16:00, visitors aged 12 and up are invited to explore how the past echoes through literature, specifically through a biography of an overlooked Resistance hero and a 1950s-era thriller. The session features authors Didier Daeninckx and Hervé Le Tellier, moderated by Eduardo Castillo. Attendance is free, and the venue is wheelchair accessible. To assist attendees, a complimentary shuttle service is provided departing from the Mémorial de la Shoah in Paris at 13:00, with a return trip scheduled for 17:45.

One pays tribute to a forgotten hero of the Resistance; the other takes the form of a detective novel set in 1950s France. Both show how the past resurfaces where it is least expected. A meeting between literature and history centered on a war whose echoes continue to resonate.
