About

Le Carreau du Temple hosts a bold new performance titled Belle(s) de scène, bringing together the eccentric Dieppe-based cabaret troupe La Sirène à Barbe and choreographer Olivier Dubois. Running from December 11 to December 18, 2026, this experimental cabaret blends contemporary dance with burlesque in a vibrant, politically charged atmosphere. Open to audiences aged 12 and up, the show explores the body as a site of resistance through drag, performance art, and precise choreography. Tickets are priced between 11 and 22 euros. It serves as a unique opportunity to witness the friction between two distinct artistic worlds in the heart of Paris.

2026 Creation at Carreau du Temple

The extravagance of the Dieppe creatures of La Sirène à Barbe meets the irreverence of choreographer Olivier Dubois to create an experimental cabaret where contemporary dance and burlesque blend with boldness.

In 2021, Nicolas Bellenchombre opened the doors of the La Sirène à Barbe cabaret in Dieppe, bringing a breath of queer freedom to the Normandy coast. Their joyful and quirky shows interweave drag, music hall, singing, dance, and burlesque performances in an inclusive and popular atmosphere. In 2025, they spread their joy of living during the Festival Everybody.

Armed with their rhinestones, glitter, and a scathing sense of humor, they return to Carreau du Temple to unveil an unprecedented collaboration with choreographer Olivier Dubois. This major player in the French contemporary scene, known for his magnetic and precision-engineered choreographies, intends to distill his reflections on the political dimension of the body, which he sees as a place of commitment, tension, and resistance. From the friction of these two worlds comes a hybrid cabaret, a laboratory for new artistic forms.
