About

Nicolas Huchard’s company presents CREDO at Chaillot – Théâtre national de la Danse, a powerful choreographic exploration of masculinity. Blending runway aesthetics with dance, the choreographer and eight performers challenge traditional gender norms through fluid and dynamic movement. Running from Wednesday, April 21, to Saturday, April 24, 2027, this one-hour performance is available with tickets ranging from 19 to 54 euros. It is an artistic inquiry into identity and social expectations, set on a stage that shifts between a dance floor and a fashion podium.

"I grew up on the fringes of an image of masculinity that did not look like me".
This is Nicolas Huchard's starting point for creating the spellbinding CREDO. The choreographer with a pop style, who has worked for a long time in the fields of fashion and music – he has choreographed for Madonna, Lady Gaga and Aya Nakamura – brings together eight performers to embody a multiplicity of nuances of masculinity. On a metamorphic stage, at once a dance floor, a runway and a pole dance podium, dynamic and fluid choreographies alternately embrace and defy gender norms. In this reflection that exposes virility as a myth, bodies are witnesses to internal struggles between identities shaped by social injunctions and those opposing them. Admitting a world structured by relations of domination, these performers explore, with softness and strength, paths of emancipation.
