Le Carreau du Temple (Paris 3rd)
About
From February 3 to February 7, 2027, the Carreau du Temple hosts the sixth edition of the Everybody Festival, an event dedicated to the contemporary body. This festival delves into how individuals inhabit their identities and differences, challenging societal stereotypes concerning gender, skin color, age, and disability. Attendees can explore a diverse program featuring contemporary art installations, dance workshops, performances, and DJ sets. While entry to the venue and certain installations is free, specific performances and dance classes require reservations. The entire site is wheelchair accessible and features facilities adapted for deaf, hard-of-hearing, blind, and visually impaired visitors.
The Everybody Festival highlights artists who place the representation of the body at the center of their work, exploring the multiple ways of inhabiting one's identity and differences.
How do artists view the stereotypes linked to gender, skin color, age, and disability in our society? In the current context, how do they approach the question of identity and difference? From the most virtuosic to the most disconcerting, the physical body - or rather the way we perceive it - reflects the social and political mechanisms that shape our perspectives.
Everybody thus becomes a bubbling bath of aesthetics, perspectives, and languages from multiple horizons, where singular, hybrid, and often surprising forms are woven. With plural aesthetics and amplified spaces - from the auditorium to the Halle and the Studio de Flore - the public is invited to immerse themselves from one show to the next. To discover identities and narratives that are reinventing themselves, to share ideas, and to fuel the debate, such is the challenge of Everybody.
Program: shows and performances, dance workshops and classes, contemporary art installations, DJ sets...
With artists: Mehdi Dahkan, Héla Fattoumi & Sondos Belhassen, Éric Minh Cuong Castaing, Clément Papachristou (program in progress)
Our take on this event
The Everybody Festival transforms the Carreau du Temple into a vibrant hub of artistic expression, spanning the main hall and the Flore studio. Through a series of performances and installations, artists such as Mehdi Dahkan, Héla Fattoumi, Sondos Belhassen, Éric Minh Cuong Castaing, and Clément Papachristou investigate the intersection of physical identity and social structures. The event encourages dialogue on how we perceive and shape our bodies in a modern context.
Beyond watching performances, visitors are invited to engage directly with the arts through dance classes and workshops. The festival is built on an open-access model for general attendance, though booking is mandatory for specific shows and workshops. Committed to inclusivity, the venue ensures full accessibility for wheelchair users and provides dedicated accommodations for visitors with sensory disabilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for everyone.
