About

Abdullah Miniawy is a young Egyptian artist, poet, singer, and musician. He ignited social media and crowds during the protest movements that stirred the nights of Cairo following the Egyptian revolution. He performed for tens of thousands of people in Cairo's squares and city clubs, but was forced into exile in Europe when censorship returned. For this concert, Abdullah Miniawy presents Peacock Dreams, in a trio with two trombones, those of Jules Regard and Jules Boittin. Together, they create a unique soundscape, weaving baroque, Sufi, and Coptic motifs, enriched by urban echoes. Miniawy's lyrical and mesmerizing voice blends into a soundscape bridging modernity and spirituality. Written in literary Arabic, this poetic gem evokes the universal. Each concert brings to life an emotional and sensory journey in an unforgettable present moment.
