Communale Saint-Ouen
About
La Grande Bouffe turns the Communale Saint-Ouen into a hub for culinary reflection on Saturday, November 7, 2026. This full-day event brings together writers, chefs, journalists, and researchers to explore food through literature, politics, and technology. From the reinterpretation of popular classics like roasted chicken to discussions on the role of artificial intelligence in the kitchen, the program offers a unique perspective on our eating habits. The day culminates in a collective banquet celebrating food as a space for shared imagination. Admission to this event is free, subject to conditions.
The Big Feast is a day to think about, taste, and discuss food in a different way.
Throughout the day, writers, chefs, journalists, and researchers will share their perspectives. From novels where a dish becomes a story, to everyday cooking viewed as a political act; from the intimate relationship women have with food to the upheavals caused by artificial intelligence in the kitchen; from the rediscovery of great popular classics, such as flan or chicken and fries, to the reinvention of alcohol-free intoxication.
The day ends with a grand banquet, a collective and festive moment where the plate becomes a space for experimentation and reflection on the links between taste, health, transmission, and respect for living things. A way to celebrate the table as a place of freedom, sharing, and imagination.
An event co-produced with Communale de Saint-Ouen and in partnership with the city of Saint-Ouen, the Seine-Saint-Denis department, and Tourisme 93.
