You are invited to swap textbook facts for live performances, interactive experiments, and eye-opening talks that make climate research genuinely exciting. About
From October 9th to 11th, 2026, the Académie du Climat hosts the Météo & Climat Forum, a three-day event dedicated to weather, ocean, and climate sciences. Through interactive workshops, performances, and discussions with researchers, you can explore current environmental challenges in a friendly, pedagogical atmosphere. This event is free and open to everyone aged 9 and up. While some activities in the courtyard are open-access, most workshops and conferences require advance registration. The entire venue is fully wheelchair accessible, ensuring a welcoming experience for all visitors looking to learn more about our planet.

Comedian and author Matthieu Brillard, spokesperson for the media outlet Le Bulbe, returns with a Comedy Club featuring exceptional guests… Elise Bordet, science communication journalist, Matthieu Bayard, comedian, & Gaël Musquet, meteorologist, for a unique evening blending laughter and ecological reflection.
After the stand-up segments, Matthieu will have them play the game "Les Jeux Sont Tout Verts" in the second part of the evening.

A conference bringing together: actors for the protection of populations and natural environments, scientists, associations, elected officials, and committed companies.

4:30 PM – 6:00 PM – Screening-Debate • Tara Polar Station: Mission in the Heart of the Arctic by the Tara Ocean Foundation.
The Arctic is warming three to four times faster than the rest of the world. To study it, the Tara Ocean Foundation designed the Tara Polar Station, a scientific station intended to drift on the sea ice for twenty years. The screening of the 52-minute film retracing this human and scientific adventure will be followed by a discussion with members of the Tara Ocean Foundation to share behind-the-scenes details of this pioneering mission.

Every evening, weather presenters talk about the weather and, increasingly, about the changing climate; at the same time, social media algorithms give free rein to echo chambers of denial. A debate to question the tension between the rigor of some and the denial of others.
Moderated by journalist Karine Durand, with the presence of Louis Bodin, meteorologist engineer, forecaster, and weather presenter at TF1 & head of the RTL weather department – Cécile Maguin, Research Engineer at the Laboratory of Climate and Environmental Sciences (LSCE-IPSL) and Myriam Seurat, weather-climate journalist at France Télévisions.

Cloudtober is an awareness project about meteorology and the imagination of the sky. Based on the observation logs of André des Gachons, an amateur meteorologist from the early 20th century, three friends recorded meteorological data for the entire month of October and painted every day between London, Rennes, and Chambéry to share their wonder of the sky. A creative initiative led by Samuel Zbynosky (Director), Thibaut Houette (Architect, PhD in Biomimetics & Biotechnology), and Tristan Schmidt.

The Académie Buvette is open Wednesday to Saturday from 11:00 AM to midnight!
At lunchtime, come enjoy seasonal and ultra-local vegetarian dishes, with vegan and gluten-free options, cooked by Yes We Camp. For snacks, cakes and pastries, and in the evening, small plates to share. At all hours, beers, wines, hot and cold drinks!
Our take on this event
The 2026 Météo & Climat Forum takes place at the Académie du Climat, 2 place Baudoyer. The program kicks off on Friday, October 9th at 18:00 with a science-themed Comedy Club and an interactive game, Les Jeux Sont Tout Verts, held in the second-floor Salle des Mariages.
Saturday, October 11th features a diverse lineup: an 11:00 theatrical lecture on pollinators, a 14:00 expert discussion on ocean observation, and a 15:45 session on coastal risks and nature-based solutions. Artistic highlights include a traditional Malagasy dance performance by the Ralina troupe in the courtyard at 15:00 and a musical performance by Le Marais Chante choir at 18:00. Additionally, a screening of the documentary Tara Polar Station followed by a debate is scheduled for 16:30 in the Salle des Fêtes.
Entry is free for all attendees, though registration is mandatory for most sessions. Open-access performances take place in the courtyard. Designed for audiences aged 9 and older, the event caters to both the general public and those with specific scientific interests. The venue is fully wheelchair accessible.
