Workshop: Movement through dance
Step back in time to master the refined steps and graceful gestures that defined the baroque era. Whether you are a curious beginner or a seasoned artist, these workshops offer a playful way to sync your rhythm with classical scores.
Conservatoire Municipal Jean-Philippe Rameau (Paris 6th)
About
Baroque music is closely linked to the dance of its era, a legacy that can be found even in the classical repertoire. What does this Baroque dance look like? What is its connection to music? The workshop offers a discovery session and a practical experience of the art of dance from the time of Louis XIV: rhythmic steps, elegant gestures, figures in space, and games with a partner, all in a friendly atmosphere. No prior experience is required. Just come with a desire to move and explore.
Who is it for?
For everyone: parents, musicians, actors, and dancers. You can sign up for this workshop without prior dance experience, or if you have already practiced another style of dance.
How to register?
By registering at the conservatory reception desk.
