The Jam de Carreau at the Carreau du Temple offers a recurring space for dancers of all levels, from beginners to professionals, to explore movement alongside musicians and visual artists. Guided by members of the Anqa collective or guest artists, these sessions are designed for participants aged 18 and over. Emphasizing inclusivity, the event welcomes individuals with and without disabilities, ensuring a diverse creative environment. The entire venue is wheelchair accessible, and the program is thoughtfully adapted to accommodate various physical and sensory needs, making it a truly open space for the Parisian community to gather and express themselves.
The jam is guided by a guest artist or by members of the Anqa collective. It is attended by dancers of all levels: from beginners to professionals, of diverse abilities: with or without disabilities, as well as by visual artists and musicians...
The entire space is fully wheelchair accessible. Accompanists are welcome.
Our take on this event
Taking place from September 21, 2026, to June 21, 2027, the Jam de Carreau series establishes a consistent hub for artistic collaboration in the 3rd arrondissement. Participants are invited to join a guided flow where professional dancers, beginners, and multidisciplinary artists connect under the direction of the Anqa collective or invited guests. The sessions aim to bridge different artistic disciplines and abilities within a supportive, shared environment.
The venue is fully equipped to be accessible for wheelchair users. Furthermore, specific adaptations are in place for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, blind or visually impaired, or have cognitive disabilities, including support in sign language. Accompanying persons are encouraged to attend. To join, participants pay 5 euros per jam, with an annual membership fee of 12 euros, or 25 euros for a supportive membership.
