About

The 13th Art theatre presents DISCO, a performance by renowned Waacking artist Josépha Madoki. Known for her standout appearance at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games opening ceremony, Madoki brings the raw energy of disco and club culture to the stage. This show serves as a space for collective healing and movement, born from a desire for reconnection and human touch. Performances take place from Wednesday, November 4, to Saturday, November 7, 2026, running from 19:00 to 20:00 each evening. The venue is fully accessible to wheelchair users.

Seen by millions of viewers during the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the first Waacking choreographer to perform at the Paris Opera (Romeo and Juliet, Thomas Jolly, 2023), Josépha Madoki, alias Princess Madoki, is now the leading figure of Waacking in France and Europe.

With D.I.S.C.O., she summons the energy of disco and club nights to create a space for resistance and collective healing, born in the wake of the lockdown. On stage, movement becomes a declaration: one of a burning need for contact, celebration, and bodies responding to one another.

Our take on this event

Experience DISCO, the latest production by Princess Madoki, a leading figure in the French and European Waacking scene. Following her acclaimed work at the Paris 2024 Olympics and the Paris Opera, the choreographer takes over the 13th Art theatre to showcase the expressive power of dance. This performance serves as a testament to the necessity of social bonding and collective celebration in a post-lockdown world.

By blending disco rhythms with clubbing culture, the performance explores how movement can bridge gaps and foster a shared sense of joy. The stage becomes a sanctuary where bodies interact, react, and unite, offering audiences an immersive look at dance as a form of social resistance and personal healing.

The event runs from Wednesday, November 4, to Saturday, November 7, 2026. Doors open for performances daily from 19:00 to 20:00. Tickets are priced between 35 and 45 euros. Please note that the 13th Art theatre is wheelchair accessible.
