Le Carreau du Temple hosts Kabarè Z, a bold performance created by writer and sociologist Nadia Chonville. Part of the Mois Kréyol Festival and the national Saison Cabaret, this show explores feminist, queer, and decolonial themes through dance, song, and lipsync. Designed as a liberating space for Afro-descendant bodies, the performance challenges exoticized colonial narratives while highlighting the subversive power of Caribbean culture. Performances take place on November 4 and 5, 2026, from 19:30 to 20:30. Tickets for this intimate show are priced between 11 and 22 euros.

A writer, doctor of sociology, and politician, Nadia Chonville took the gamble in 2024 to create a feminist, queer, and decolonial project in Martinique. This is how Kabarè Z was born. This space of liberation for Afro-descendant bodies weary of an exoticizing colonial prism now radiates from Fort-de-France to Paris. Singing performances, dances, and fiery lipsyncs unfold in an intimate setting, focusing on proximity to the audience, under the aegis of the mistress of ceremonies Klochèt, Nadia Chonville's alias. With her companions, she aims to instill a trance that releases the subversive revolutionary power of the Caribbean.

Nadia Chonville, performing under the alias Klochèt, leads an immersive experience in the heart of Paris's 3rd arrondissement. Born from a desire to deconstruct stereotypical views of Martinique, this cabaret offers a unique, intimate setting where performers weave together powerful songs, choreography, and lipsync routines. The show addresses the realities of violence against Black women while celebrating their liberation through the transformative power of dance and movement.
The event is scheduled for two evenings, Wednesday, November 4, and Thursday, November 5, 2026, at Le Carreau du Temple. Each session runs for one hour, from 19:30 to 20:30. This artistic residency is held under the dual banner of the Mois Kréyol Festival and the Ministry of Culture’s nationwide Saison Cabaret. Admission ranges from 11 to 22 euros. Attendees are invited to witness this vibrant showcase that brings the revolutionary spirit of the Caribbean to the stage.
