A blue carpet creates a common space between the public and the performers, where two dancers engage in a hypnotic score, carrying desire, lack, hope, and loss. Berlin-based Polish choreographer Ewa Dziarnowska defends a living, contact-based dance that prioritizes connection over distance.
Ewa Dziarnowska and Leah Marojević, both dressed in blue, unfurl an undulating movement in the space. Solo or in unison, they advance in silent contact. The proximity of bodies breaks the passivity of the public: the gaze becomes movement, and movement becomes a way of being seen—a reciprocity that challenges classic performance.

Rooted in improvisation as both a method and a philosophy, Dziarnowska’s work focuses on sensations and relationships to resist the pressures of conventional productivity.
