About

The Théâtre L'étoile du nord presents Tumeur ou Tutu, an empowering narrative performed by Émilie Faucheux based on the work by Léna Ghar. Through a blend of corrosive humor, music, and graphic projections, the performance maps an intimate journey of self-discovery and resilience. This production is recommended for audiences aged 14 and up. Performances take place on November 12 and 13, 2026, from 20:00 to 21:30. The venue is fully inclusive and accessible to wheelchair users, as well as individuals with hearing, visual, or cognitive impairments, ensuring a comfortable experience for all guests.

A powerful story of emancipation, Tumor or Tutu creates the effect of a euphoric poetic explosion. Between the violent words of the mother, the disturbing silences of the father, and the 'that's none of our business' of the outside world, the narrator renames the world in her own way to try to understand, giving her voice a unique creative and humorous strength.

The discovery of mathematics and then love will give her the illusion of a resolution. Combining sensitive embodiment, music, and graphic projections, the show invents something like the intimate encephalogram of this voice, the better to let us enter into this speech full of life, corrosive humor, and self-deprecation.
