About

Théâtre Ouvert in the 20th arrondissement hosts the play Ce qui s’est tu from March 22 to April 3, 2027. This production explores the nuances of memory and legacy by weaving together archives, literature, and drama into a six-chapter structure. It serves as a profound reflection on silenced stories and the healing power of expression. Recommended for audiences aged 14 and up, the venue is fully accessible, including facilities for wheelchair users, people with cognitive disabilities, and those who are deaf or hard of hearing, with sign language interpretation provided during the performances.

This play is akin to a prayer addressed to him, in which memories mingle with dreams, memory offers itself to the imagination, and the fictional mates with the real, in an attempt to intervene in the deadly mechanics of discouragement. Beyond the intimate story it unfolds, it is the relationship to transmission that is put to work. Divided into 6 chapters, like the stations of a cross walked in reverse, the play superimposes archive, literature, and theater, in the manner of a palimpsest, to propose a rewriting of the wound. The gesture that motivates the exhibition of this intimacy is not to take the floor as one would take power over the tragic course of things, but on the contrary, to return it to what has been silenced. To that which, by dint of being silent, has ended up killing.

Our take on this event

Ce qui s’est tu functions as a personal prayer where memories and dreams collide, creating a dialogue between the real and the imagined. Organized into six distinct chapters that resemble an inverted path, the play layers various narrative forms to reinterpret past wounds. The performance seeks not to seize power over tragic events, but rather to give a voice back to the things that have long been suppressed.

Catch the play at Théâtre Ouvert on Avenue Gambetta between March 22 and April 3, 2027. Showtimes are scheduled from 19:30 to 21:30 on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays; from 20:30 to 22:30 on Thursdays and Fridays; and from 18:00 to 20:00 on Saturdays. Tickets are available ranging from 8 to 20 euros.

Designed for individuals 14 years and older, the production prioritizes inclusivity. The theater is equipped for wheelchair access and is fully adapted to accommodate patrons with cognitive disabilities, as well as those who are deaf or hard of hearing, offering sign language support throughout the run.
