Written for 5 performers from the inclusive company Dançando com a Diferença, Este Mundo focuses on silence, breath, and the quality of presence. Moroccan choreographer Bouchra Ouizguen unfolds a succession of situations marked by everyday gestures. An invitation to observe, feel, and inhabit time.

With a sober vocabulary, Este Mundo transforms everyday gestures – simple, repetitive, sometimes fragile – by associating them with bodily states inspired by air, light, heat, weight, and stability. Each of the 5 performers from the Dançando com a Diferença troupe – composed primarily of artists with disabilities – thus develops their own state: for Bárbara, movement around lightness; for Sofia, verticality and power; for Sara, warmth and energy; for Telmo, weight and stability; for Joana, suspension and balance. As a dramaturg and choreographer attentive to play, detail, and relationships between performers, Bouchra Ouizguen works with what flows between bodies, sound, and light. Echoing the attention that Portuguese writer Fernando Pessoa paid to internal landscapes and Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish's reflection on what is transmitted beyond words, Este Mundo embraces what is rarely expressed: silence, the gaze, and breath. With this piece, the Moroccan choreographer continues a body of work shaped – for over 15 years – by a strong relationship with ritual and the everyday. The stage is a common space where individual singularities meet.

Five performers take the stage to redefine the boundaries of movement through a delicate dance of rhythm, weight, and presence. This profoundly human piece transforms simple gestures into a visual dialogue that speaks directly to the soul.

Chaillot - Théâtre national de la Danse presents Este Mundo, a choreographic work by Bouchra Ouizguen featuring the Dançando com a Diferença company. This dance performance explores everyday movements and physical states through five distinct performers, including artists with disabilities. By focusing on breathing, gaze, and silence, the piece creates a shared space where personal landscapes meet. The performance lasts for 1 hour and the venue is fully wheelchair accessible. Experience this unique dialogue between bodies, light, and sound, reflecting on the power of non-verbal communication in an intimate and poetic setting.

Bouchra Ouizguen collaborates with the Dançando com a Diferença company to bring Este Mundo to the stage. The performance highlights the unique physical presence of five artists—Bárbara, Sofia, Sara, Telmo, and Joana—each exploring specific states ranging from lightness and verticality to weight and stability. The choreography emphasizes the connections between the dancers, sound, and light, drawing inspiration from the works of Fernando Pessoa and Mahmoud Darwich.

The show will take place at Chaillot - Théâtre national de la Danse in the 16th arrondissement from October 8 to October 10, 2026. Performance times are 20:00 on Thursday, October 8, and Friday, October 9, with a matinee at 17:00 on Saturday, October 10. The performance duration is 1 hour. Please note that the theatre is wheelchair accessible.

Tickets are priced between 10 and 25 euros. As part of the Festival d'Automne à Paris 2026 and the 2026 Mediterranean Season, this piece offers an exploration of rituals, daily life, and the unspoken, inviting audiences to witness a collective space where individual singularities converge.
