Prepare to be mesmerized by this fluid fusion of movement, chant, and shared pulse. About

Chaillot - Théâtre national de la Danse presents Un peu pour mon cœur, a choreographic piece by Dalila Belaza. This work explores the intersection of dance, voice, and music, drawing from the choreographer's Algerian heritage to build a collective resonance. By focusing on the interplay between breath, vibration, and movement, the performance creates a shared space for the audience to experience a subtle, ritualistic form of art. Performances run from November 25 to November 28, 2026, with a duration of 55 minutes. Located in the 16th arrondissement, this event offers a deep dive into an organic and meticulously crafted artistic language.

Dalila Belaza knows how to weave landscapes made of voices and bodies. For Un peu pour mon cœur…, songs occupy a central place, carried by a sensitive memory linked to the choreographer's family's country of origin, Algeria. With this creation, she deepens a research where dance, voice, and music become one. To achieve this, she brings together several performers around a principle of chorality: creating a common frequency capable of connecting beings beyond individualities.
In Dalila Belaza's work, we inhabit a subtle land. Nothing is there to illustrate anything. It must be understood that it is more a matter of sensations than grand effects. The songs are the source and the extension of the dance; they do not come to illustrate or narrate it. Breath, vibration, and resonance are at the heart of her chiseled writing.
Already in Orage, presented at the prestigious Lyon Dance Biennale, or in Figures, her dance unfolded as a dense and telluric material, traversed by impulses close to ritual. Without ever citing a precise tradition, she let deep, almost archaic resonances surface.
In Un peu pour mon cœur…, this intensity opens up more to the collective. Chorality, present in many cultures, becomes an unavoidable principle. It touches on the beauty of a perfect chord in its fragility. The body becomes another material for her, and it forms with the music and songs a common space, a place of sharing where everyone carries, a little, within themselves, the heart of others.

Our take on this event

Choreographer Dalila Belaza brings her latest creation, Un peu pour mon cœur, to the stage at Chaillot - Théâtre national de la Danse. The performance is built upon the concept of choral harmony, where dancers, voices, and music merge into a single entity. Eschewing grand theatrical effects, Belaza focuses on sensations, using the body as a dense material that connects performers and spectators alike through a shared, rhythmic frequency.

The event takes place from Wednesday, November 25, to Saturday, November 28, 2026. Evening performances are held daily at 19:30, with additional matinee shows at 15:00 on Thursday and Saturday. The total running time is 55 minutes, and ticket prices range from 9 to 25 euros. Visitors interested in deepening their understanding of the creative process are invited to meet the artists following the performance on Thursday, November 26, 2026.
