A rising star of contemporary dance, choreographer Sharon Eyal shapes shows of haunting beauty, tinged with classicism and romanticism yet eminently modern. With this new creation dedicated to her late mother, she orchestrates a ballet of eight dancers, between undulating curves and jerky convulsions. Alternating solos, duos, trios, and group scores to hypnotic electronic music, she holds sadness at bay and defies grief through artistic sublimation. Like moving apparitions, in flesh-colored leotards, perched on demi-pointe, with arched backs and made-up faces, the performers' sculptural bodies trace seismic and cathartic emotional variations in space.
The show was presented at the time of its creation by Chaillot - Théâtre national de la Danse in partnership with La Villette from November 27 to December 6, 2025.
