About

The Palais des Enfants presents Transparence, an immersive exhibition designed for children from the age of 2. Within this imaginative realm, visitors explore the nuances of light and translucency through sensory installations and artworks spanning from the 19th century to the contemporary era. From mysterious forests to vibrant oceans, this exhibition bridges the gap between arts and science, fostering curiosity through play and contemplation. With a standard entry fee of 13 €, it offers an original cultural journey for families. Booking your tickets in advance is recommended to ensure entry to this unique, interactive environment.

In an imaginary universe, designed to awaken curiosity and provide fun, young and old alike walk freely from a shimmering hall of mirrors to a cave of crystalline treasures, venturing at times into a mysterious forest, at others towards a radiant sky or the depths of a multicolored ocean.

The arts of sculpture, printmaking, and photography dialogue with science through interactive and sensory devices. Between 19th-century creations and contemporary works, immersive pieces like those by Dan Graham and Soo Sunny Park, ideal to discover as a group, and more introspective creations like those by Patrick Neu and Agathe May, the exhibition offers an original exploration that renews our perception of transparency and light.

Children and their companions experience the multiple nuances of transparency, exchange their observations from translucency to darkness, and marvel at the riches of nature as much as those of craftsmanship throughout a journey punctuated by play and contemplation spaces.

The exhibition continues through an activity book, a podcast about transparency… and soon, mediation meetings with a series of events to go even further!
