World Breastfeeding Week is an opportunity to recall the health benefits of breastfeeding for mothers and children, while highlighting the importance of creating an environment conducive to its success. Although natural, breastfeeding requires active support, both within the home and at a social level.

Supporting families on their breastfeeding journey

Breastfeeding is good for the baby… and for the planet! The 2026 edition highlights initiatives to support families on their journey and promote environments that are welcoming to breastfeeding.

The City of Paris offers information and support to parents, backing those who choose to breastfeed, while fully respecting the free choice of each family. Numerous workshops, meetings, and information stands will be offered, providing opportunities to interact with professionals, ask questions, and share experiences and tips among parents.

Whether you are expectant parents, young mothers, or simply curious to learn more about the subject, these events offer a friendly setting to learn, share, and support breastfeeding in all its forms.
