SCOTT LAVENE (10:00 PM)

(Rock crooner - UK)

Scott Lavene is a British singer-songwriter and storyteller whose work blends social realism, dark humor, poetic force, and a quintessentially English sense of place. Hailing from Essex, Lavene has carved out a niche as a chronicler of the down-and-out; his songs are populated by drifters, night-time wanderers, and small-town dreamers.

Before his musical career took off, Lavene spent years working various odd jobs, experiences that would later fuel the raw authenticity of his lyrics. His songs often feel like short stories set to music, delivered in a conversational, almost spoken-word style that sits somewhere between indie folk and post-punk.

BLEU DEATH (8:00 PM)

(Bedroom rock - Bordeaux, FR)

Like a faded William Eggleston photograph, an untranslated Raymond Carver short story, or a lost demo from a collaboration between Elliott Smith and The Replacements, Bleu Death is a sound archive. That of a vanished world that still broadcasts a few tracks from an empty bar.

The 3 influences: Elliott Smith, The Replacements & Nirvana
