Hailing from the Isle of Man, after a detour through the uncomfortable pebbles of Brighton, Penelope Isles resurface, oscillating between blinding light and shadows.
Three years after their last concert, life has slowly transformed everything. Two solo albums have emerged, new bands have formed, old landmarks have crumbled, but an irresistible force of attraction has finally drawn them back together. Yet, the sound of Penelope Isles remains immediately recognizable: saturated with fuzz, rich in melody, and emotionally charged.
Now a true trio with the arrival of drummer Joe Taylor, Penelope Isles sounds fuller, freer, and more alive than ever. Guitars shimmer and clash, harmonies sway between pain and momentum, while the drums erupt like a strange storm arriving abruptly from the coast.
The Wolter siblings compose songs like postcards from an almost inaccessible place—Brighton seafront apartments, wobbly restaurants, memories half-scorched by the sun. Something beautiful, fragile, and always on the verge of disappearing.
Still fascinated by love, heartbreak, and the traces they leave behind, Penelope Isles appears today more open, brighter, and more unstable than ever. And everything seems to be in motion once again.

The band Penelope Isles brings their signature psychedelic pop to the Supersonic on Wednesday, November 11, 2026. Hailing from Brighton, the group showcases a sound defined by fuzz-heavy textures, melodic depth, and raw emotional resonance. Recently expanded into a trio with the addition of drummer Joe Taylor, the band delivers a more expansive and vibrant live experience. This event is free to attend. Doors at the venue on Rue Biscornet in the 12th arrondissement open at 19:00, with a happy hour running until 20:00, followed by the main performance at 22:00.
