Understanding isolation to act better

The isolation of the elderly constitutes a major issue of solidarity and social cohesion. To address this, many volunteers and volunteers work alongside professionals to maintain social ties and fight against the loneliness of seniors.

Through this training session offered by la Fabrique de la Solidarité, participants will discover the fundamentals of fighting against the isolation of the elderly. This immersion will allow a better understanding of the realities experienced by isolated seniors, the issues related to aging, as well as the essential role of community actors, volunteers, and professionals mobilized in the field.

The meeting will also be an opportunity to discover the professions that accompany and support civic engagement: mobilizing volunteers, coordinating solidarity actions, facilitating networks, and supporting committed individuals. The professionals at the Fabrique will share their experience and present the mechanisms put in place to encourage solidarity initiatives at the service of the elderly.

By participating in this training, you will discover how awareness, listening, and meeting can contribute to strengthening social ties and improving the daily lives of seniors. An opportunity to better understand the mechanisms of solidarity engagement and the professions that make it possible.
