About

What do we see when we look at these images? And what do we choose to ignore?

In a few months, the French Bukkake trial will open at the Assizes Court. The facts, revealed notably by the investigation of Lorraine de Foucher, describe a system of domination made of humiliations and sexual violence committed against women, which is then massively distributed on the internet.

Using various cases as a starting point, Nadège Cathelineau, Adelaïde Bon, Christelle Taraud, Hélène Devynck, and the entire Collectif Sous nos regards, supported by the Groupe Chiendent, propose two days of reflection, debate, and creation around a central question: what is our collective responsibility in the face of this system?

Far from moral debate, this highlight event focuses on the concrete mechanisms that make this violence possible within 'slaughterhouse porn': the capitalist logic of the industry, the role of platforms, exploitation systems, attention capture, early exposure and addiction of young people, and the role of viewers in this ecosystem.

For two days, artists, authors, jurists, researchers, activists, and citizens will share their perspectives through a mock trial Violence in porn, are we all guilty for closing our eyes?, round tables, and a public reading of the book Sous nos regards, a collective work giving voice to the civil party women in the French Bukkake and Jacquie & Michel cases.

A weekend to question what we accept to see, consume, or ignore, and to reflect together on individual and collective responsibilities regarding the violence against women produced and mediatized here.

Listeners from the Feminist Collective Against Rape (Collectif Féministe Contre Le Viol) will be present to support you.
