The Théâtre de la Concorde and Sciences Po present the third edition of the public seminar series on AI, democracy, and the information landscape. On December 3, 2026, join professor Hugo Micheron at 19:00 for a session titled The Quantification of the World. This talk investigates how the proliferation of digital calculation systems impacts our relationship with knowledge, decision-making, and personal freedom. This event is free of charge and open to anyone interested in the structural shifts caused by artificial intelligence. The venue is fully accessible to wheelchair users, ensuring an inclusive environment for all attendees.
How can we preserve our democracies in the face of new power dynamics, digital platforms, and artificial intelligence systems that are now reconfiguring our relationship with information, knowledge, and politics?
Conceived and hosted by Hugo Micheron, associate professor at the Sciences Po School of Public Affairs, the public seminar "AI, Democracies, and Information Environment," organized by the Théâtre de la Concorde and Sciences Po, returns for a third edition.
After two seasons dedicated to fractures in the public sphere, information manipulation, and contemporary geopolitical shifts, this new cycle proposes shifting the focus toward the structural transformations that artificial intelligence imposes on European societies. From September 2026 to May 2027, each session will bring together an academic with an artist, writer, intellectual, or public figure to exchange perspectives and fuel the debate.

September 23 / Digital Sovereignty and Online Public Space
The cycle opens with a major interview featuring Anna Zeiter, co-founder and CEO of W Social. This meeting will explore the conditions for European digital sovereignty and the challenges of reclaiming online public space. As a European alternative to major social networks, W Social advocates for a model based on identity verification, data hosting in Europe, and compliance with the GDPR.
December 3 / The Quantification of the World
Hugo Micheron offers a reflection between science and literature on the digitization of reality, which will examine how the expansion of computation transforms our relationship with knowledge, decision-making, and freedom.
