Discover the foundations of phonetics during this exclusive lecture focused on improving your pronunciation and listening skills for languages around the world. Led by expert Danilo A. Lombardo, the session explores how visualizing articulatory positions and utilizing the International Phonetic Alphabet can help you master complex sounds, vowels, and tones. This event is open to participants aged 18 and over and takes place on December 1, 2026, at the Bibliothèque Drouot in the 9th arrondissement. Attendance is free of charge, though booking your spot in advance through the library’s standard reservation channels is required.

Danilo A. Lombardo conducts experimental phonetics research at the SPAPL-CUNY Haskins Laboratories and Yale University. He is interested in the articulatory, acoustic, and cognitive aspects of pronunciation.
