About

Théâtre Silvia Monfort hosts Avec les pieds, a burlesque and baroque musical performance written by Nicole Genovese and directed by Jeanne Desoubeaux. The story follows the Moute family as their lives are disrupted by the mysterious and sudden appearance of a tree in their home. This production, part of the Festival Musique(s) Rive Gauche, blends absurd humor with poignant emotion to challenge our perceptions of the unexpected. The performance lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes and is suitable for audiences from age 10. Live music plays a central role throughout the show, underscoring this transformative tale of curiosity and family dynamics.

At the Moute household, everything starts as usual. Or almost. Because this tree, which appeared without warning, upsets the family balance. The Father opposes it, clinging to his certainties. The Mother lets it happen, with inexplicable lightness. The Child, a strange and luminous figure, opens another path, towards curiosity. Written by Nicole Genovese, with live music composed by Jérémie Arcache, this burlesque and sensitive fable makes this vegetal emergence a motor for transformation. The tree becomes something that displaces, worries, and forces a change in perspective.

Accessible to young audiences, this mischievous narrative plays with contrasts, between humor and disturbance, absurdity and emotion. An invitation to welcome the unexpected, and to look differently at what grows there, in the middle of our lives.
