The Bibliothèque Buffon celebrates the end of the La Rentrée des cultures festival with a multilingual evening on Friday, October 16, 2026. From 19:00 to 21:00, join members of the La Glottothèque association for an evening of language practice, collaborative games, and a potluck buffet. Participation is free and does not require a reservation, though capacity is limited to 100 people in the auditorium. The venue is wheelchair accessible, with an elevator serving the 5th floor where the event takes place. Please note that the doors will close to new arrivals at 19:30.
From September 26 to October 17, as part of the annual festival Rentrée des cultures, organized by the Forum of Foreign Cultural Institutes in Paris (FICEP), the language centers of the Paris libraries offer you an agenda of events dedicated to discovering different languages.
Friday, October 16, from 7 PM to 9 PM, to close this festival in style, FICEP and the language center libraries of the city of Paris invite you to a polyglot evening.
Come and practice languages from all over the world over a drink, and contribute to the potluck buffet with your culinary specialties!
We will celebrate the variety of languages and cultures in a festive and gourmet atmosphere.
Free admission, no reservation required, (doors will remain open to welcome you until 7:30 PM), subject to availability (100-seat auditorium, 5th floor, accessible by elevator).

The program begins at 19:00 with a welcome session and the distribution of language badges. Between 19:15 and 19:30, the organizers will present the La Glottothèque association and outline the evening's activities, which include a multilingual Cluedo, Komunikado, and collaborative board games. The remainder of the time, until 21:00, is dedicated to conversation and networking among participants.
Entry is free of charge and open to all without reservation, subject to the capacity of the 100-seat auditorium. Because of the room limit, please arrive by 19:30 when the doors will close. The event space is located on the 5th floor and is fully accessible via an elevator for wheelchair users.
