Throughout 2026, Paris public libraries offer a diverse program dedicated to foreign languages and cultures, completely free of charge. Whether you are looking to practice speaking, explore international literature, or attend themed conferences, these local cultural hubs provide inclusive spaces for all levels. From conversation workshops and book clubs to language initiations and dedicated children's reading sessions, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Please note that for all events, you must contact the specific library hosting the activity in advance to confirm your participation and make a reservation.

Our take on this event

From January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026, the City of Paris library network hosts a wide range of linguistic and cultural events. Designed to foster learning and discovery, these sessions cater to individuals who wish to improve their language skills or simply explore new perspectives in a welcoming environment.

The schedule features a variety of formats, including conversation circles to boost fluency and book clubs focused on international titles. For those interested in deeper insights, the program includes academic conferences and introductory workshops for beginners. Children are also invited to participate in specialized reading sessions tailored to younger audiences.
