About
The Benoîte Groult Library hosts the 2026 Prix des Mordus du Manga, a literary event designed for manga enthusiasts and beginners alike from age 7. Running from September 5 to December 19, 2026, the program highlights recent releases curated by Paris City librarians across three age-specific categories. This event is entirely free to attend and the venue is fully wheelchair accessible. Whether you are discovering the genre or looking to share your passion, this initiative provides a perfect opportunity to explore new titles within the local community in the 14th arrondissement.
The Manga Enthusiasts prize is aimed at both fans and novices of this literary genre. Three selections are made by the City of Paris librarians from recent releases: one selection for 7-11 year olds; another for 12-15 year olds; and a final one for those 16 and over.
There is something for all ages and tastes!

Our take on this event
Between September 5 and December 19, 2026, the Benoîte Groult Library invites you to participate in the Prix des Mordus du Manga. The selection process, managed by Paris City librarians, is divided into three distinct groups: 7-11 years old, 12-15 years old, and readers aged 16 and over. This structure ensures that every participant, regardless of their reading experience, can find a curated selection that suits their interests.
The kickoff event starts on Saturday, September 5 at 10:00, where the 2026 selections will be unveiled and an origami workshop will be offered. Participants are encouraged to pick up their collector card at the library reception, allowing them to collect a stamp for every manga read throughout the duration of the prize.
Located at 25 Rue du Commandant René Mouchotte, the library is free to visit and welcomes all guests, including those requiring wheelchair access. Make sure to visit the reception desk to collect your materials and begin your reading journey.
