About

The Théâtre du Châtelet hosts Urban Pulse Uprising II on Sunday, October 11, 2026, a unique choreographic event celebrating 140 years of diplomatic ties between France and Korea. This performance brings together two iconic hip-hop collectives: the French group Wanted Posse and the South Korean crew Just Jerk. Attendees can expect a showcase of technical precision and artistic energy through various performances and a friendly battle. Tickets for this event are available for purchase, with prices ranging from 5 to 35 euros. It is an opportunity to witness the evolution of urban dance and breaking on an international stage.

Organized to mark the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and France, this encounter celebrates the artistic ties between the two countries through urban dance. It brings together two iconic crews from the contemporary hip-hop scene: Wanted Posse, a major figure in French urban dance, and Just Jerk, one of the most recognized collectives on the Korean scene.

Founded in Seoul in 2010, Just Jerk has established itself as one of the iconic crews of the contemporary Korean hip-hop scene. Known for their technical precision, exceptional synchronization, and the power of their performances, the collective gained international recognition through their victory at the Body Rock Dance Competition in 2016, their participation in America’s Got Talent, and their victory in the show Street Man Fighter in 2022. Through demanding and spectacular choreographic writing, Just Jerk embodies the dynamism and creativity of current Korean urban dance. During their visit to France, the crew will also offer exceptional classes, providing the public with the opportunity to discover their choreographic universe up close.

A true pioneer of French hip-hop, Wanted Posse was founded in 1993 by Ahmada Bahassane. The collective has contributed to the evolution of the French scene by developing a unique style at the crossroads of hip-hop, house dance, and break. Awarded notably at the Battle Of The Year in 2001, it distinguishes itself through its original creations and an approach where each dancer asserts their artistic personality.

Through performances from their respective repertoires and a friendly battle bringing together top-tier dancers, the show highlights the creativity, energy, and virtuosity of two urban scenes now recognized internationally. In the context of the global rise of breaking, especially after its historic entry into the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Urban Pulse Uprising II celebrates a culture in constant evolution, between heritage, innovation, and sharing.

This show is a continuation of Urban Pulse Uprising, created within the framework of the Korea Season 2024, a co-production by KOFICE, the Korean Cultural Center in France, and the Producer Group DOT.
