OPEN AND SOLIDARY KITCHENS?
Hidden corners of the Goutte d'Or neighborhood are opening their gates to explore the vital link between urban nature and food security. Whether you are interested in botanical workshops, community kitchens, or simply strolling through secret green spaces, this initiative proves that the best meals are the ones we grow and prepare together.

About
Gardens invite us to smell, taste, and share what grows there; almost everything would be edible if the soil were not polluted. In the Goutte d'Or gardens, moments of commensality are organized spontaneously, and meals are distributed daily at the Jardin de la Table Ouverte for people in situations of great precariousness. The Collectif 4C is the initiator of Quartier Libre, a food third-place/shared kitchen and neighborhood canteen; "it is a shared space and a space to be shared." What is the link between gardens and food? What does the collective and public sharing of a domestic activity create? How can urban gardens play a role in the fight against food insecurity?
La Goutte d'Or tears itself from the asphalt. The Shared Gardens Festival is an autumn event not to be missed in Goutte d'Or, programmed by a collective of associations, in partnership with the University of Paris Nanterre, the Goutte d'Or library, and the Institut des Cultures d'Islam.
It includes conferences, walks through the neighborhood's gardens and green spaces, botanical drawing, harvesting and cooking workshops, photo and drawing exhibitions, and film screenings.
The organizing collective of this festival includes the five shared gardens of the neighborhood: Jardins Aziza and Bashung (la Goutte Verte), l'Univert (Halage), the Jardin de la Table ouverte (La Table Ouverte), the Jardin de l'Assommoir (Art&A), the Goutte d'Or library, Virginie Milliot, urban anthropologist (University of Paris Nanterre), the Collectif 4C and the association Graine de Jardins, as well as the Institut des Cultures d'Islam, and the children of the Goutte d'Or.
