THE YOUTH PLAY (10:00 PM)
(Post punk - London, UK)
The Youth Play is a Mexican-British band that draws inspiration from a wide range of styles, from grunge and shoegaze to blues and dream pop.
Diego, the lead singer, is from Mexico City and was previously an environmental science researcher. He met the other members of the band when he moved to the UK to pursue music, convinced that he could have a greater impact on the world through his poetry and art. Their latest EP explores how people strive to find joy in moments of despair and desolation, with lyrics addressing the immigrant experience, the climate crisis, and political injustices.
After a European tour with Been Stellar and several UK tours alongside bands such as Wings of Desire and The Wytches, they have already caught the attention of trendsetters and respected artists, including members of Primal Scream, Jimmy Eat World, and Skunk Anansie. With new tracks planned for 2026, they continue to push the boundaries of their musical universe, proving that British music is at its peak when it is bold and serves as a catalyst for change.
