About

From October 7, 2026, to January 18, 2027, the Bourse de Commerce — Pinault Collection hosts 'Remember Me', an exhibition marking the bicentennial of photography. Featuring around seven hundred works from the Pinault Collection, the display offers a non-chronological journey through the history of the medium, from pioneers like Gustave Le Gray to contemporary artists such as Cindy Sherman and Wolfgang Tillmans. Tickets are priced between 0 and 15:00. Alongside the main exhibition, visitors can discover a special installation by Barbara Kruger located in the museum's Rotunda and windows, providing a comprehensive and diverse overview of photographic forms and techniques.

Titled “Remember Me,” in reference to a work by Barbara Kruger who is also presenting an installation in the Rotunda and the museum’s display windows this autumn, the exhibition explores the evolution of the photographic medium and the diversity of its forms.
. Through masterpieces and icons from the Pinault Collection, the path resembles a fugue: a free journey, without chronology, that allows for unexpected correspondences and dialogues between genres and eras, offering the visitor a sensitive and open experience of the history of photography.

From heritage photography to contemporary images, from Gustave Le Gray to Cindy Sherman, from Dorothea Lange to Wolfgang Tillmans, and including Man Ray or Louise Lawler, the Pinault Collection embraces the entire history of the photographic medium. It also reflects all its aesthetics and techniques. Presenting it in its entirety on the occasion of the bicentenary of the invention of photography is a natural choice. Through a selection of approximately seven hundred works, this is what the “Remember Me” exhibition does for the first time, with a title that resonates in a thousand ways.
