Show: The Man Who Planted Trees
An ecological show for active spectators, based on the work of Jean Giono.
MAIF Social Club (Paris 3rd)
About
A man, during a long walk in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, meets a shepherd. This shepherd lives alone in this hostile landscape. He plants trees. One hundred trees every day, expecting nothing in return. A few years later, forests of oaks, beeches, birches, and ashes appear... Water has returned. Villages are being repopulated. The arid and desolate moor has become a land full of life...
In this fable, which resonates deeply in our era where deforestation rages and water is becoming scarce, you accompany the narrative through actions and become a participant in the story.
A powerful, poetic, and humanistic fable. La Terrasse
And believing that a single man can possess such "constancy in greatness of soul and relentlessness in generosity" feels incredibly good. Françoise Sabatier-Morel for Télérama TTT.
