About

With Back/Bridge, Habibitch presents an icono-choreographic performance that examines the traces left by colonial history on the bodies and narratives of post-colonial margins, with a special focus on the North African diaspora and Algeria. Intersecting movement and imagery, the piece seeks to map the continuities between past colonial violence and contemporary discrimination. Through this work, Habibitch pursues a situated artistic and political reflection, nurtured by their own journey between various spaces, practices, and identities.
