About
Explore the intersection of illusion and cognitive science at the Magie exhibition, hosted at the Cité des sciences et de l’Industrie. Suitable for visitors aged 9 and over, this immersive show reveals how magic techniques and neuroscience work together to influence our perception. Through displays of mentalism, levitation, and classic disappearances, you will examine how your brain interprets reality and where the line between fact and trickery lies. The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 to 19:00. Tickets range from 12 to 15 euros, offering a unique opportunity to challenge your own logic and senses.
A true exhibition-show, Magic explores the link between illusion and perception, creating a dialogue between the art of magic and cognitive sciences. Designed in collaboration with contemporary magic companies, it blends the most current forms of illusion with recent research on how the brain functions. It shows how magicians have always integrated scientific and technical advancements to reinvent their practices.
Extraordinary powers, mentalism, appearance/disappearance, levitation… Through spectacular experiments and installations, your certainties are shattered and questions arise: what do you see, understand, and believe? Intertwining wonder, confusion, and critical thinking, Magic deeply questions our relationship with reality and the way our brain constructs it.
