About

The Théâtre Paris-Villette presents Normalito, a play directed by Pauline Sales, running from December 18, 2026, to January 3, 2027. Suitable for audiences aged 9 and up, the story follows 10-year-old Lucas, who struggles to find his place in a class full of singular personalities. By creating a superhero who enforces normalcy, he embarks on a journey alongside Iris, a girl longing to be ordinary, and Lina, a railway station attendant. This production offers a thoughtful look at identity and social pressure within the 19th arrondissement, with each performance lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Lucas, 10 years old, must invent a superhero for school. He draws Normalito, the one "who makes everyone normal," because in his class, everyone has a peculiarity, except him. Iris, on the other hand, would really like to be normal. The two children will grow closer and discover each other's way of life. They run away and meet Lina, the station bathroom attendant, whose life path will once again shake up their certainties.

Our take on this event

Normalito explores the life of 10-year-old Lucas, who feels out of place because he lacks a unique trait compared to his classmates. He decides to invent a superhero, Normalito, to make everyone normal, eventually crossing paths with Iris, who shares the opposite desire. Their shared journey leads them away from home, where they encounter Lina, a station cleaner whose perspective on life challenges their beliefs and forces them to re-evaluate what it truly means to be normal.

The performances are scheduled at the Théâtre Paris-Villette from Friday, December 18, 2026, until Sunday, January 3, 2027. Showtimes vary throughout the week: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays at 14:30, Fridays at 19:00, and Sundays at 15:30. The duration of the play is 1 hour and 15 minutes. Tickets are required for entry, and the content is recommended for children from the age of 9. This event invites families and young viewers to explore complex questions of self-acceptance.
