Communale Saint-Ouen
About
Every Wednesday, the Communale Saint-Ouen hosts the Goûters Philo, a philosophy-focused gathering led by journalist Charlotte Cousin. From 15:30 to 16:30, children are invited to engage in collective thinking and respectful debate in a relaxed environment. These sessions focus on sharing perspectives rather than finding definitive answers, encouraging participants to listen and question the world around them. To add a touch of sweetness to these intellectual exchanges, homemade cakes are served to all attendees. This event is specifically designed for children aged 6 to 10 years old, with ticket prices starting from 5€.
Charlotte Cousin, journalist and youth workshop facilitator, hosts philosophy snack sessions every Wednesday from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM in the heart of the market hall.
The ideal opportunity to learn how to debate and think together, because there are no "right" or "wrong" answers, just ideas to share, respond to, and question!
Will you bring your budding Aristotles? We have delicious homemade cakes to convince them!
Requirements: children must be between 6 and 10 years old to participate.

Our take on this event
Journalist Charlotte Cousin invites young minds to the heart of the Communale Saint-Ouen for weekly philosophy workshops. Taking place every Wednesday from 15:30 to 16:30, these sessions aim to teach children aged 6 to 10 the fundamentals of debating and critical thinking. By fostering an atmosphere where all ideas can be shared and challenged, the workshop encourages participants to develop their own voice while respecting the opinions of others.
There are no right or wrong answers in these discussions; instead, the focus remains on the joy of exploring complex topics together. To keep the energy high, the session includes a snack break featuring homemade cakes. The program runs from October 7, 2026, through December 30, 2026. Parents should plan for a participation fee starting at 5€ per child to secure a spot for these educational afternoons.
