About

Final dates to see this show that will no longer tour!

In a poignant one-person show that is as much autofiction as it is a manifesto, Laurène Marx uses her raw writing to tell the story of the trans experience and its capacity to overturn norms.

With her impactful writing and moving presence, actress, author, and director Laurène Marx took theaters by storm in 2022 with Pour un temps sois peu, and hasn't left them since. Somewhere between a monologue and a 'sad stand-up,' this poignant narrative recounts the trajectory of a trans woman, where testimonies of micro- or macro-aggressions and symbolic violence intersect with questions about romantic relationships and the societal perception of transidentity and non-binary status.

A manifesto to place the voices of trans people back at the center, this autofiction intends to dismantle an imagination long shaped by the fantasies of those unaffected. Firmly planted behind her microphone, Laurène Marx addresses the audience directly, armed with an incisive and honest style, to challenge the gender, sex, and class assignments that govern society.

A show in the form of taking back power over the intimate speech of trans people. And a political uppercut.

Têtu,
Our take on this event

Some performances have the power to stay with you long after the final applause, and this raw exploration of identity is definitely one of them. With sharp wit and emotional depth, the stage becomes a space for reclaiming personal narratives and dismantling tired social norms. Experience an unapologetic take on life that hits home with both humor and honesty.
