Théâtre Public de Montreuil
About
Influent Mum at the Théâtre Public de Montreuil is a sharp satire examining the lives of an influencer family whose carefully curated online existence is disrupted by an unexpected visitor. Set in a domestic space turned film studio, the production uses grotesque figures, physical comedy, and prosthetics to challenge our obsession with constant self-representation. Suitable for audiences aged 12 and over, the show is fully accessible to wheelchair users as well as blind or visually impaired guests. Running from January 19 to January 30, 2027, tickets for this performance range from 9 to 27 euros.
In a living room transformed into a film studio, a family of influencers stages their daily life for their online community. Unboxing gifts, product placements, calibrated gestures: everything is ready for the camera. Until the day an ungrateful and apathetic creature bursts into this overly polished daily routine and makes its perfect image falter, gradually digging out the void.
Grotesque figures with bodies transformed by prosthetics and speaking a modern gibberish populate this show of rare inventiveness. Driven by a lush aesthetic universe, a clownish spirit, and the very physical acting of the performers, Influent Mum delivers a jubilant satire of a society in constant performance.
Our take on this event
At the Théâtre Public de Montreuil, Influent Mum invites audiences into a living room-turned-studio where a family stages their daily routine for social media followers. Between product placements and gift unboxings, their flawless image begins to crumble with the arrival of an indifferent creature. The play utilizes a unique aesthetic, featuring performers with altered bodies and a modern, invented language, delivering a high-energy and inventive critique of our performative society.
The performance is intended for spectators 12 years and older. The venue is equipped to welcome wheelchair users and provides specific adaptations for blind or visually impaired attendees. The show runs from Tuesday, January 19, 2027, through Saturday, January 30, 2027. Performances take place from Tuesday to Friday between 20:00 and 21:10, and on Saturday from 18:00 to 19:10. Ticket prices vary from 9 to 27 euros depending on the selected category.
