About
Women are a minority in prison, representing only 3.6% of the prison population in France. Nevertheless, they have inspired a large number of songs, evoking here the harshness of their daily lives, there their loves left free.
We therefore offer you for this special session a musical journey that dreams of freedom, to make the walls of the former Saint-Lazare prison, closed in 1932 and since converted into the Françoise-Sagan media library, vibrate!
Our take on this event
Discover a haunting musical journey echoing through the corridors of a former detention center turned public library. Through songs of captivity and longing, this performance sheds light on the often untold stories of women behind bars. It is an immersive experience that turns a heavy historical site into a place of artistic liberation.
