Five years after the publication of her successful book Féminismes et pop culture (Stock, 2021), Jennifer Padjemi will return during this conference to discuss the evolution of women's roles in the music industry, the concept of the industry plant, and will provide an assessment of the changes in recent years.
Jennifer Padjemi
Jennifer Padjemi is a journalist, critic, author, and teacher. Her work focuses on socio-cultural phenomena and contemporary lifestyles, analyzing them through the lens of our screens: in cinema, television, or on social media. A member of the French Film Critics Syndicate, she has published Féminismes et pop culture (Stock, 2021) and Selfie, comment le capitalisme contrôle nos corps (Stock, 2023). She has also contributed to the collective works Nos identités (Rageot, 2022) and Vulgaire, qui décide ? (Les Insolentes, 2024), and created the podcast Miroir, miroir.
