About

A singer-songwriter of Spanish origin, Marta Domingo was raised on Iberian music and is passionate about Latin American rhythms. For this intimate project, she draws from the traditions and legends of her region, Aragon, as well as the poetry of Antonio Machado and Federico García Lorca, not to mention Andalusian harmonies and Sephardic songs that resonate with power and emotion in her voice.

She accompanies herself with traditional instruments such as castanets, spoons, or the "pandero cuadrado," a square tambourine with tribal and mysterious sounds, once played by women on the Iberian Peninsula.

Pianist Claire Lamothe completes the duo. Throughout the narrative, she elegantly unfolds her palette of jazz, classical, and Hispanic influences. She thus manages to illustrate these timeless stories with sensitivity. The piano, in perfect symbiosis with the voice, becomes an integral part of the narrative to recreate an enchanting universe that transports us to the vibrant and sunny landscapes that inspired these songs.
