About
ZOUFRIS MARACAS
Alter-globalist and borderless. Militant and apolitical. Environmentalists and parasites of a French chanson scene whose codes they shake up with their colorful guitars and melodies from the ends of the earth, the Zoufris Maracas do not fit into boxes! True to their thirst for freedom and close to current concerns, they succeed better than ever in marrying poetic lyrics, social commitment, and musical journeys. Often compared to Mano Negra or Les Négresses Vertes, the group has established itself over 4 albums and more than 700 concerts as a reference of the French alternative scene. Their strength is their music, their lyrics, word-of-mouth, and a furious desire to dance to serious subjects.
